Obstetrical services at Deaconess are family-focused and offer many options. We offer large, comfortable rooms with plenty of space for family and Jacuzzi tubs for mom’s comfort. Our lactation specialists are available for those who want to breast feed. During mom’s recovery, baby can room in or there are full nursery services
available (and you can change your mind at any time).
Most deliveries are normal, but some women have complicated or early deliveries. Deaconess has highly specialized staff and facilities to care for any situation, with a fully equipped and staffed newborn intensive care and the only intermediate care nursery in the area. We have a perinatology center for monitoring mothers who are high risk. While you’re here, be sure to try our “World-Class Room Service” and use restaurant-style menus to “eat what you want, when you want it.” See also Childbirth Services. |
